It’s Soup Season at Zinello Flatware

It’s time to get cozy in the kitchen because it’s officially soup season here at Zinello Flatware! As the weather cools off, the leaves begin to change and it’s time to warm up inside. We love to discover exciting new recipes and there are few fall staples as versatile as soup! So cozy up, we’ve got some great ideas for you this season.

Plan Ahead

One of our favorite things to do when making soup is to make larger batches so that it can be used to prep lunches and dinners in advance! This is especially helpful for any individual who leads a busy but healthy lifestyle. This is also an excellent budget-friendly idea, as a lot of soups can be made with whatever you’ve got in your fridge and cupboards already!

We love using a crockpot to double up our recipes, as they have lots of room and you can set it and forget it. Start your soup in the morning and have it simmering until you get home at the end of your work day. You can also divide the batch up and freeze them for pre-portioned soups to enjoy later – it will be the easiest dinner you’ll make all week!

What’s Your Flavor?

There are so many great soups to try – luckily we’ve got a whole season to try them all! We’ve compiled a list of 3 different varieties from some of our favorite places to get you started.

Go with a classic – Classic Chicken Noodle Soup

Treat yourself with some New England Clam Chowder

This soup season you don’t have to make it to Boston to taste some of that famous New England Clam Chowder! We’ve found a delicious recipe you can make at home thanks to Spend With Pennies‘ recipe found here. New England Clam Chowder is traditionally made with a decadent white cream base. This differentiates it from a Manhattan Seafood Chowder, which has a tomato base. This is excellent if you really want to impress your friends with some delicious chowder that will transport them to the crisp fall days at Faneuil Hall Marketplace – pair it with our Firenze Flatware Set for a nice upgrade!
