A waste-free gift

Pumpkin truly is the gift that keeps on giving. From classic, rustic household décor for both inside and outside, to creating fun for the whole family with pumpkin carving. On the inside, pumpkin can be used for a tasty snack like Pepitas to a cozy Pumpkin Soup. We can’t forget a classic Pumpkin Pie. The last piece of the puzzle after the season is over is the leftover carved pumpkin wilting on your doorstep.

Before you toss your old pumpkin in the trash, consider taking it to an open field or dropping it off on your nature hike in the woods! Pumpkin seeds act as a natural de-wormer and pumpkin is safe for wildlife to eat! So as the weather gets colder, pumpkin can create a valuable food resource for our furry friends. Just be sure to crack them open so nobody gets their head stuck inside!
